Associate a storage system with a system profile

A PowerMax software system profile is a subset of system settings that are associated with at least one storage system (array). The settings are defined once as part of a system profile, and these settings can then be applied to one or more storage arrays.

About this task

To associate a previously created system profile with one or more arrays:

Steps

  1. From the main menu, click Unisphere for PowerMax.
    The home dashboard view is displayed.
  2. Optional: Go to the left panel and click Configuration > System Profiles to open the System Profiles view.
    The system profiles that are associated with the storage system are displayed.
  3. Optional: Click List view icon to view the system view in list view format.
  4. Click Card view icon to view the system view in card view format.
  5. Optional: Select a system profile and click More icon.
    In the task list, select Add Systems.
  6. Select a system to associate with the system profile from the list.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Type in the system profile description.
  9. Select the source storage system to which the system profile is to be applied.
  10. Click OK.
